RVA Summer Shows

When the weather in Richmond begins to warm up so do the festivals. Whether you enjoy live music, good beer, or great atmosphere with friends, the River City's myriad of outdoor performances should not be missed!

Situated directly on the James River, Brown's Island is the spot for picturesque performances including Friday Cheers and Riverrock, both hosted by Venture Richmond. Another local favorite includes some heavy-headliners at Innsbrook After Hours.

For more casual (and historic) venues, you can take the family to June performances at the Wilton House overlooking the James or the Richmond Jazz Festival at Maymont in August. In addition to live music, Byrd Park's Festival of Arts also offers dance, theater, and opera all at Dogwood Dell's outdoor ampitheater.
